The Marostica low is a low top sneaker with hiking details, featured here in a doubleface nappa leather commonly used for designer handbags. It is a thick, double-face nappa leather produced without any chrome-tanning which is particularly noticeable in white where you can see that is has more of a true white color rather than the blueish hue that chrome tanned leather has. It has a dense and rich structure, but is still just as soft as nappa usually is. Nappa leather is by definition a more high end leather product but this leather is truly at the top of the line in terms of nappa leathers. The inner lining is made of calf leather instead of pig leather for increased comfort, and the footbed is of vegetable latex with a leather upper lining. A gusseted leather tongue with vegetable latex padding will keep water from permeating the top of the shoe, and the padding creates a soft cushion over the instep. For the laces we have used Italian made coated cotton laces. We have used the famed Serena sole, produced by a family run rubber producer in Marche, Italy, that has been making soles since 1952. All components are of Italian origin. Handmade in Onè di Fonte, Italy.
